ILLUSTRATION • DESIGN • BRAND IDENTITY • and much more
I used to think of art as a hobby – not a profession. As a kid growing up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, I loved to draw. My parents got me started, and always encouraged me. More hobbies came and went since then, from hockey to playing guitar. But the thing I seem to have the most control over is drawing. And now illustration has become my profession.
I pride myself on a few things: my passion for the work I do; my ability to work well with others; the fact I've never had a Monday morning when I didn't want to go to work. I'm grateful for a few things too: the talent I was given; the opportunity to work at what I love doing; and that I didn't take over my Dad's TV-repair business.
